Director:  Cove Civil Construction

Wayne has 30 years’ of experience in the Civil Construction industry. For the last 17 years, Wayne has worked in and been a part owner of a multi awarding winning construction company based in Waikato. Prior to this he worked for nine years with Hynds Pipe Systems, where he gained extensive product knowledge and management skills. Wayne also started his career working as a drainlayer for a local Whangarei company. 

Wayne is highly skilled in resourcing, coordinating with utilities providers and stakeholders, quality management, health and safety, coordinating work flow and reporting back to the client and any other stakeholders.

Wayne has demonstrated that he is equipped to undertake various high-value and complex contracts, some of which include his work on the Madill’s Farm stormwater upgrade for Auckland City Council, Maui Street to Te Marie Street and Aerodrome Road stormwater upgrade projects for Tauranga City Council, Christchurch Pressure Main 11 as part of the earthquake rebuild, Rotokauri bulk watermain and the Western Wastewater Interceptor projects for Hamilton City Council. 

Wayne recognises the vital role of good communication and pays particular attention to building good relationships with his colleagues, project teams, subcontractors and external stakeholders.
